Robotic Surgical Fellowship
The Department of Pediatric Surgery is seeking a resident in General Surgery interested in studying and developing the field of surgical robotics. The fellowship is one to two years in duration and will involve exposure to surgical robotics, advanced laparoscopy and the opportunity to be involved in FDA trials evaluating this technology in the field of pediatric surgery.
Research experience will include clinical trials in humans and development of advanced procedures in animal models. Basic research will be performed at the Center for Smart Systems and Integrated Microsystems and the College of Engineering. New technologies currently being investigated include 3D endoscopic visualization, 3D ultrasound, spectroscopy and haptics.
Individuals should have completed their third clinical year and be in good standing at their institution. Interested parties should contact:
