Our web site would not be complete without a special thank you to the Carls Foundation, whose generosity of spirit and financial support has allowed us to treat tens of thousands of children over the years.

For many of us, hearing is a sense we take for granted - never stopping to imagine life without the sweet hum of a bird call, the cozy sound of rain on a weekend afternoon, or the comforting voices of our dearest family and friends.

William and Marie Carls created the Foundation to share the fruits of their hard work and success with many children's causes in Michigan, especially those dedicated to the prevention and treatment of hearing impairment.
